Yes i was very disappointed with the sound. Supposed to use the ALC 650 5.1 codec. But the sound is not in the same league as the new Mobo's (AMD or Intel Based) that feature the ALC 860/861 codec. This sounded as bad as my old system on an Intel 865 chipset based mobo.
