Difference between 14" Vs 15.6" screens of same resolution

It seem most... rather almost all laptops in the Indian market with 14" and 15.6" screen sizes come with 1366 x 768 resolution. Since the pixel density of 14" inch screens would be higher, does it show a noticeable difference? The difference may be variably apparent depending on what you are...

Lappy decision - Is this Fujitsu a good choice? Any other brand...?

    1) What is your budget? (INR or USD) 25,000 (somewhat flexible, but less the better). 2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer? 15" minimum. 3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like? a. Like: Asus, HP, Fujitsu b. Dislike: Acer...

    ** ~10k mobile advice thread **

I'v had my hands on the Optimus Net personally, for a short while, and it felt better than Explorer. And its specs are better too - better batter, more memory, etc. Explorer cam without AF is a severe limitation. Pic quality isn't good either. However, Explorer looks better than the Net. So make...

    Samsung Galaxy S2 Price Drop?

Not acceptable. I don't trust service centers. They may replace the battery and create some new problems or scratches or something. Besides would have to waste time and money to go there for such a simple thing. And I don't buy this gold pins waste power theory. Where is the proof? HTC or...

galaxy y duos good value for money??

^^^Sorry mate, dunno that. I think it might be dual standby... but not sure. Will have to check that out.

galaxy y duos good value for money??

Nopes, even LG has a dual SIM Android which is almost the same as the Optimus Net. And its a pretty good option at that price.

    Samsung Galaxy S2 Price Drop?

I don't know about the future, but I'm very unlikely to buy a phone without a SD slot or non-removable battery. If you buy such things, you will only encourage manufacturers to make more such phones. Manufacturers should supply what customers want, and not vice versa. What you say suggests you...

    cheapest 1 Ghz android phone??

Moto service is not that bad. There are fewer service centers though. I know several people who are using it and are happy with it. Main drawback is its pathetic cam. Otherwise its a good fone. Perhaps the most durable currently available.

HTC Explorer or Samsung Galaxy y or Karbonn A9

    cheapest 1 Ghz android phone??

Forget the screen... it may not be the best but at least its "acceptable"; its the cam that is the biggest let down. Its got the worst cam in its range.

Cellphone for parents (old, retired folks)

LG Optimus Me P350 and LG T515 seem to have good reviews. Check them out. Not sure if there are other good LG options. If you can up your budget a bit, then just get the Optimus Net which is much better. In feature ph segment, the Cookie was one big hit. After that the Optimus One. Seems LG has...

Want a new Mobile under Rs 9000 Budget?

^^^Strange! I'v used Optimus One when some of my friends were using the Ace. My O1 would trounce them when it came to battery back up anytime! @clerkman1612, consider the Optimus Net dual. But like Aroraanant, I wouldn't be confident of a dual SIM android; in which case the single SIM variant...

Cellphone for parents (old, retired folks)

Rather than low end Samsungs, I'd personally prefer a Nokia. Also, since you want a touch screen only, consider the options from LG. Couple of them have pretty good reviews. Whats good is that LG prices are also somewhat lower. Sorry, I can't recall the model names exactly, but you can easily...

    Mobile phone around 5k

A friend got the A50 Ninja less than a week ago, and he is currently happy with it. If you can't increase your budget to get an Explorer or Optimus Net, its probably not too bad an option at the given price point.

What do you say...Worth the risk ?

^^^Well, in real, eBay will not provide help "right away". They is usually a long delay. Whats more I don't think eBay will help you after few weeks.... maybe upto a month. So buying from there is worth it only if the price is appreciably lower. Dealer warranty is very dicy. What if dealer...

!! Guys beware of Ebay scams, sellers faking reputation

^^^Good that you got a good deal from Flipkart. No doubt their service and website is really good... but their prices are usually way too high. I stopped buying from them months ago.

!! Guys beware of Ebay scams, sellers faking reputation

^^^I didn't mean you! I ment I'v learnt from someone that he had a good experience with the seller, but you can't generalize from one experience. Anyway, reputation aside, you can always claim refund if you find some foul play. So it should not necessarily prevent anybody from purchasing a good...

Which is the best among all these Android smartphones under 18k?

Actually, for me, the best service is one that you never need... As for HS18 - Whats wrong with Made in Thailand phone? Was it a sealed box? Did it come with SE India warranty? Please elaborate.

!! Guys beware of Ebay scams, sellers faking reputation

I doubt it. Somebody I know has purchased from that seller. Shipping was super fast and he got genuine phone and accessories. Anyway, you can't generalize from just one case...
