Recently I updated the nForce 4 chipset drivers, from that onwards my SATA hard disk appearing as "removable hardware" on system...

Among DVD, DIVX and MPEG...DVD is the BEST one in quality but least one in quantity(size).
DVD is great quality(picture and sound) but takes heavy size.

Make your CPU box dust free.
Check...Are the fans rotating at good speed...must be around 4000 rpm and above..If not...try to clean ur CPU fan..and check is it rotating smoothly.
if not oil the fan...just one to two drops..and try to smooth it...

There no compressed and uncompressend format on video data...only converting one format to another format...As your video in divx format (Little bit loss of quality... ignorable) you can convert to avi...but you can't get the quality back...
