WD Blue SN 550 vs Crucial P1 (1 TB nvme m.2 ssd)

Hi, I have been thinking of going for a reasonable M.2 SSD and these two seem to be the best bet. While the WD is faster and newer, it's also about Rs. 1.7k more expensive than Crucial. Crucial is 10k at a local shop while WD is 11.7 at onlyssd.com Do let me know what you think. Thanks

    Suggestion for PSU

I know it won't work on a new board. It's supposed to be a stop gap arrangement till B550s are released and the prices reduce a bit. Now, if the differential of X570 and B550 is equal to what I'd pay for this board less depreciation, it would be ok. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

Hi, I checked at a local store and he's quoting 9k for the FX 8370. Do you think it makes sense to buy it for now and wait for the B550s to release in a few months? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

Thanks! That list is very useful. While I doubt I'll ever spend 30k on a graphics card, I will check also check the warranty on both and take a decision. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

The latest rumours say that 550 production will start in Q1 20 and should be available in Q2. My current setup is on its last legs esp my CPU(fx6300). In an ideal scenario, I would have bought an 8320 for a throwaway price, used it till the 550s prices fall down and then upgraded. But 8320 is...

    Suggestion for PSU

Yeah, that's my thinking too. Plus, x570 prices have fallen quite a lot. The aforementioned TUF x570 without wifi is for 14k at a local retailer. Cheapest board I found is for 11k. 450s would be around 7 to 8k? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

That's a good point. So it could very well last for my next build which would be 5 years later. Similar to my current one. Will search if I can get a lower wattage one in the TX series. Else this is a good buy Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

Have the issues with B450s been sorted yet? I remember a few months back there were quite a few problems. While B550 is tempting, I don't want to wait forever. I'll do some research anyway for rumours of its release. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

Considering my current PSU is working, I don't want to spend more than 4-5k. This one is 7.4. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

No no, 3600. 3700X is far too expensive. Why do you feel it's not VFM? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Suggestion for PSU

Hi, I am planning to upgrade to an R7 3600 processor soon with an Asus TUF X570 mobo. Will reuse my 1050Ti, 1 SATA SSD, 2HDDs and would buy an M.2 SSD. I might overclock in the future but I've found that (in my last two builds) by the time I really need to overclock, my Mobo is in shambles and...

New R5 3600 build for video editing and gaming

Update - MSI gave me a replacement for my mobo so I'm gonna use it for a little while longer. So I'll hold off my purchase for a while, at least till the B450s work properly with Zen 2 or the X570s become a little more reasonably priced. Thanks a lot everyone, for your advice and...

New R5 3600 build for video editing and gaming

Thanks! I wonder when USB C will become the standard for everything. Right from monitors to graphics cards to TVs to Fire Stick like devices. Now that would be truly living in the future. One cable to rule them all!

New R5 3600 build for video editing and gaming

The price on primeabgb for this is 15.5k. I guess Asus TUF Gaming board at 16.9k is more value for money considering we get 2 USB 3.1 G2 ports and even 1 Type-C port. Not that any of my accessories use G2 right now but I'm sure many would turn up in 4-5 years. Considering it has an HDMI port, I...

New R5 3600 build for video editing and gaming

True but only the bigger retailers would do these things. And if you're buying it online, there's no guarantee it would have been done.

New R5 3600 build for video editing and gaming

This is a good point. I'll keep this in mind. I'll wait till the 20th for the affordable x570 to be released and then I'll take a decision.
