I found out this link in AMD support forums. So indeed its the Clawhammer core, so definitely not the latest core, but i have no idea about the availabity of Venice or San Diego core in India. Hope this link helps :)...
Deepak which core is proccy is?? looks to me as Clawhammer (not sure)... if indeed it is.. then it isnt the latest one. Venice and San Diego are the latest cores.

Avast Home is pretty gud. I m using it, found no probs whatsoever, not resource hogging, has variety of options, resident shield, network shield, p2p shield, IM shield etc. Updates AV definitions daily. A decent AV that absolutely FREE !!

AMD at any given time is way ahead n much betterh than Intel be it in terms of pricing or technology.
I am using AMD64 3000+ and it has absolutely no heating issues rather the heating issues have come up with Intel..the Prescott (or shud i say PresHot) series of processors...
