Why dont u give them passwrds and then try accessing them coz in xp i hav seen mostly n/w pc's do hav a user accountwhich is shared. Also try just keeping the passwrds blank just give usernames and press enter wen it asks for the passwrd in Win98.Try it though i am not sure i will wrk.

Tat arrow remains if ur in classic start menu.Try switchin over to start menu u can get on to it by right clickin on the start button then in start menu tab u c the 2 options. Athe guys abv said in customise u also c the option of scroll down.
