2 monitors, 15k each, text based work + watching videos | 5k - Docking station and monitor mount

No gaming at all. As long as it's under 15k/monitor, I'm happy with either of the refresh rates. (It's the budget decided by my employer). Will the higher refresh rate be better for text-based work? And will my laptops support it? I tried checking but couldn't find that information.

2 monitors, 15k each, text based work + watching videos | 5k - Docking station and monitor mount

    1. Budget? : 15k for each monitor. Total 30k. 5k for docking station and Monitor stand/ 2. Display type and size? : The bigger the better. I've seen it mentioned here that 24" is the biggest I should go for with 1080p, and I don't think I'll get a 4k in that budget? But if yes, then great. 3...

    Buying a Laptop for 45k-55k

This is a very late update, but I ended up getting a HP Pavilion Au 620tx with i5 and 8GB RAM, and backlit keyboard. The screen sucks, but the laptop costed just 42k. It was for 46k, but I got 4k knocked off by not taking the soundbar. Had no problems multitasking though - I've had Chrome and...

Need Work+Gaming Laptop. 60k Budget. HP Probook 450G0 vs. Dell Inspiron R

Cool, thanks for the detailed reply. I'm very tempted to purchase the Inspiron now. Probably the Inspiron R with the same config as you mentioned. Looks aren't the most important but Inspiron is just very unattractive. I wouldn't replace the HDD with the SSD as I need the extra storage space...

Thanks for the advice. I looked at gaming laptops in the Laptop Buying Guide thread and found the Lenovo Z510, which I can't get because of bad service, and the Dell Inspiron with i7 4500U and 8850M. The Inspiron was also suggested by seamon and looks good. I see. Is Inspiron better than...

Need Work+Gaming Laptop. 60k Budget. HP Probook 450G0 vs. Dell Inspiron R

Inspiron is a good option, but I personally see them as low-end laptops. Plus, that processor is comparable to i5 3230M and the GPU is comparable to Lenovo Z510, which has a better processor and better built. I don't intend on going with Lenovo because of after sale service issues in my area...

Great, that's the motherboard then. I haven't been able to look at monitors because of the holi break, but I will be able to go see them tomorrow. Ah cool, thanks. I talked to a guy yesterday and he recommended a Numeric UPS. He has an APC one as well and he said it has some issues. And he...

Work + Minor Gaming PC. Budget: 20k-40k

Cabinet - it's certainly big. I got a big one specifically last time for upgrades. FX8350 - Okay, cool. Sounds like great VFM. I'm okay with 22" LED IPS Panel. I will confirm it tomorrow after checking out the sizes in person. I've never worked on anything bigger than 15" so far so I can't...
