Don't go by what dealers say, you won't find many dealers pushing for Sony over Samsung bcoz Sony has got a strict dealer discount/commission policy, go by what your eyes says :-) and yes if budget is not an issue then rather go for 850 as rightly mentioned by others
It would depend from area to area where you reside. Some areas are more fluctuations where it makes voltage guard a must.

But how do you upscale that? Either DTH should broadcast by upscaling it, or one has to do himself. No DTH in India does that so far. I dont think market is at all matured for such displays.
it will be long before any company would even think of introducing these ultra HDTV in india. It is only now that even Full HD are finding takers..May be LG or Samsung wil introduce one model just to showcase their capability. I am not sure if there is enough content to watch on these Ultra HDTV...

Thats true..it was a fight between es5600 & ex650..and I went ahead & bought Sony 40EX650 for its outstanding PQ( good detailing, deeper black levels, natural colors)..it was a deal clincher for me..I think, for any TV that has to be the most imp factor on which it should deliver, and boy it...

LG model is wifi-ready only if laptop also confirms to Intel Wi-DI, otherwise need to use wi-fi dongle. Also, when it comes to PQ i found Samsung to be better.
