well i allready installed rhel in vmware.. but i got only 2gb ram.. i need more to do my tasks with rhel.. as it consumes 7-800 for windows on top 5-600 for rhel.. and i could hardly run multiple instances.. in it.. well i have a system reserved partition.. & boot options will be stored there...

so you mean i shouldn't make other partitions like /opt /usr.. etc.. ?? but i need them & while installing rhel which grub option should i choose.. MBR or advanced grub options?

after installing I changed my Sata mode to IDE again.. as i was getting startup error with windows.... Ny ways how can i get to Grub when i can't even access it??

well i switched to linux as it is good for this kinda stuff & .. it was Service issue.. it was set to Manual i changed it to .. Auto now everything is fine.. ;)

Well i did that & even check using "set o" to check the environment still can't login to dat instance.. so am thinking as i installed it in D: so should i go to D: & do this setoracle.. or any where is fine.??

how to run multiple instances in oracle? using set oracle_sid=sid .. & when i say sqlplus / as sysdba... its asking password.. even i give sys and password it's not accepting... is it anything to do with os privilege? if so how to deal with it.. how to run two instances at a time?
