LG's GB release is stupid. IMO LG's Froyo is much more stable than GB. Plus it is (GB) battery hungry, drains out battery within a day, with moderate usage. I can't tell you about apps getting lost and all, but upgrading was mostly smooth for me.
I had actually rooted LG Froyo to CM7. Then...
I have rooted my O2X, currentlly running CM7. Performance is certainly boosted up, no UI hang, no crapware. Seriously good phone if you are open to rooting. Price is also much lesser than S2, which I believe has always been overpriced.
Edit: I have got Transcend MicroSD Card 32GB Class 10...
I recently broke my (cheaper) headphones and think it is the right time for a good upgrade. I want IEMs only, as they offer good portability.
I mostly listen to heavy metal and rock, so want the audio clarity to be precise with tight, strong bass. Budget: 1.5-2.3k max.! I would soon be moving...
I have an O2X. Not yet needed to go the service center, but the phone has no apparent problems, except slow OS updates by LG. I have now rooted it to CM7 and its performance is freakin awesome.
I cannot see Motorola XT532 being available in online stores. Can you confirm if its available, and where was the price (20k) quoted? This seems a good choice, if one has to go for a dual sim droid afterall.
Hey fellas,
Looking for a dual sim android for my sis. Budget is ~25k max. Should have good music and cam, and no buggy UI. Suggestions?
I somehow can't find a dual sim phone around :\
Hola!
Well, I recently shifted to a new city. I previously had a wi-fi connection at home, with my own router. Now I plan to get a 3G USB dongle to access internet through my laptop, so that I have the mobility.
I am planning to get a Reliance Netconnect 3G USB dongle (7.2MBPS)...
well...probably a n0obish query. I meant just like we install drivers when installing Windows on PC, e.g. drivers for ATI graphics card etc., is it something like that for mobiles too?
Also - does this mean that all Nexus phones come with AOSP android versions? No apps, no UI changes?
Hola!
I have a LG Optimus 2X and pretty happy with it for quite sometime now (my full review here).
I am running LG's stock Gingerbread on it, which works ok. I was wondering if I can have just Android on it, without any tinkering by LG or anyone. Is that possible? That of course means I...
I am pretty satisfied with the volume of the earpiece and loudspeaker. Calls in noisy environments were not a problem.
However, the volume from the Radio is barely audible through loudspeakers, I don't know why. Install some app like volume boost to fix this.

Corsair is not that great for music. Above average of course, but not awesome, IMO.
Klipsch Promedias, Edifier S530/S730, Bose Companion 3, AudioEngine a5 is what I'll call awesome. (I'm forgetting some more names)
okay, many of you might remember the utter confusion that I was in for buying a new phone.
Finally I decided to stretch my budget by 3.5k and make no compromises - so got LG Optimus 2x from letsbuy using a coupon code for 23,5k. Been using it for 4-5 days now. Here's the review:
