Hello Guys. Thank you for all your suggestions. I went with below:
lenovo v15 gen 3 - AMD Ryzen™ 5 5625U, 8 GM RAM, 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS, 256 GB SSD, DOS OS
got it for 38k on lenovo website in an offer

Thanks buddy... I can see your point. Thats why similar config to ASUS vivobook16x in lenovo thinkpad is 72k... almost 24k more.....
Understood. I will rethink and take an informed decision. Thanks for all your suggestion and support.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely do this.
On side note, I am not a fan of laptop. I am a working professional but always work on desktop. I have 3 PC serving me well. Now laptop has become a necessity to cater the need of an upcoming project... that's why purchasing one.
In case...
Lenovo is getting delivered in 4-5 days...
But as I understand from your suggestion that in build quality both are at par or maybe vivobook is better, I will go with ASUS option..... really thankful for all your suggestions.
Sorry if below question is unnecessary:
If I have to make a choice between these 2 laptops solely based on the expected longevity of the laptop, which one should I choose:
Asus MB511WS VivoBook 16X Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H/16 GB/512 GB SSD/AMD Radeon Vega 7 Graphics/Windows 11/MSO/WUXGA)...
Can you please also let me know, if can I go with this laptop:
Asus MB511WS VivoBook 16X Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H/16 GB/512 GB SSD/AMD Radeon Vega 7 Graphics/Windows 11/MSO/WUXGA), 40.64 cm (16 inch)
Thank you for all your suggestions. I truly appreciate it. If ASUS laptops are also long lasting, can I consider below. This seems to check all the requirement I have:
Asus MB511WS VivoBook 16X Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H/16 GB/512 GB SSD/AMD Radeon Vega 7 Graphics/Windows 11/MSO/WUXGA), 40.64 cm...
Thank you for the suggestion.. On general usage, will this laptop last me for 5 years? I know its difficult to answer this as it depends upon care / usage etc... but still if you could share your input.
In case it wont, then can you please suggest me another laptop that would. I am ready to...

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans: Office departmental PC. BI apps like Power BI, Qlik, R. High...
I understand. Its better to get an APU. What would be the best APU to get if I am not much concerned about the GPU capabilities but only the CPU capabilities. Best VFM, Max budget 20 K only for processor..
Ok, suppose I dont need a video out... I dont need to connect monitor to this system as I access the system through remote desktop connectivity. I can carry out the OS installation in an SSD in another computer and then just connect this SSD to the new system without any GPU. Will it work?
Hi. Can I ask a naive question... Why do I need an APU? I am not going to play games at all. Cant I get a CPU and Motherboard with onboard graphics to support the display....
Also do you think that 3400G offers best value for money... Can I get a better VFM processor if I stretch the budget...
Hmmm you are right. I am testing this system right now in my office. It gets very hot indeed. I have totally removed the top cover and then placed inside the drawer. Lets see how it works now. My resources utilization is like this for 30 minutes and then 2 hour normal usage.. then repeat..

In the meantime tried my hands at making my own compact cabinet. Below are the pics...
