ctc-app : A web application for Crack The Code like contests

I think the basic "Question -> Answer" format should be retained. i.e., every challenge prompts the user towards some kind of an answer that the user can input into a regular text box. This way, even though the challenges get harder and more cryptic, the consistent way of entering answers means...

Is it possible to use a TV as secondary display using Fire TV Stick ?

I'm not sure if the firestick can use a regular web browser, but if you can, you could use Deskscreen ( *deskreen.com/lang-en ) to use it as a second display. (Check the FAQ section).

Old mouse died, so bought a Logitech G502 Hero (wired) for ~40 EUR. The build quality is great, the device feels very premium, and the buttons have a very satisfying click to them. Here's an image (with old mouse for comparison).

I would also do the cloning part with dd. But make sure you really understand what you are doing. There's a reason its nicknamed as "Disk Destroyer". You could reinstall it and copy over the home partition, but if I were you, I'd just copy over everything (rsync, dd, whatever). Then I'd fix the...

    Questions about premium VPN Services.

It costs 5 bucks a month to maintain that server, regardless of how little or how much I use it. Its a wireguard server / mumble server / peertube server, so its worth keeping it alive. As for govt websites, I need to turn the VPN on to access them, otherwise they throw weird errors.

I turn it on when I have to call home, turn it off otherwise. I could probably just leave it open all the time, but I've never thought about doing that.

    Questions about premium VPN Services.

That's only partly true. Many government service pages refuse to load if your IP is of outside india. Personally, I maintain a cheap DO VPS in the BLR region so I can tunnel into that for bypassing such stupid restrictions. I also find that when that VPN is on, call quality over whatsapp /...

They no longer have a VPN endpoint in india, but AFAIK, they support indian users just fine.

Not necessarily. Debian doesn't include many proprietary firmware blobs which most other distros do. It might run fine on mint and ubuntu and still fail to run on debian without a lot of extra work.

C/C++ Beginner's Guide and Post Basic Questions here

Nerevarine is right. You will have to convert your number into a character array, and then call fputc() character by character. A hint here is, that the character value of a digit is just '0'+i (notice the single quotes around 0). 0 is 47 in ASCII, 1 is 48, etc. So, when you type something like...

C/C++ Beginner's Guide and Post Basic Questions here

Characters are just variants of integers, encoded in ASCII. char '5' is the same value as int 53. The number 5 refers to the character ENQ ( Enquiry character - Wikipedia ). In C++, you can write to files in text mode, or binary mode. When writing in text mode, all writing is done in...

It probably has something to do with snaps. AFAIK, chrome(ium) is no longer packaged as deb, but only as snaps. Somehow missed the rest of the conversation. Nvm my comment.
