Guys, I was planning to install Ubuntu, Fedora and Backtrack on the same computer (along with Windows 7). My Specifications are:
2.67 Core i5
4GB DDR3 RAM
500 GB HDD
I have a system running Windows 7 with 3 partitions (240, 130, 130) GBs. And I was planning on freeing out 30GB of space...
thnx for all the suggestions,
i tried panda and within 50% of scanning it resulted in 4 threats, for some reasons i couldn't let the scan complete, and now i've to leave the town for 2 months.
i'll look into the matter when i'll return (but the computer would still be used by my family...
in what manner do you want me to post it ? you want a printscreen ?
i just checked the startup list and there a 'something' without a name, so obviously I disabled it. Still not working.
To be precise, if I give a gap of 2 seconds in between pressing the same key, it works.
I removed my AVG and ZoneAlarm, installed Kaspersky Trial and ran a full scan, it found another virus Win32/Heur, but perhaps it was unable to remove so I deleted the detected files by a shredder.
The problem persists. The same key doesn't works more than once when pressed repeatedly without...
I already have AVG Anti-virus, but for some reasons I'm unable to update it. I guess if I try to install Kaspersky Trial Version, AVG's gonna create conflict.
Isn't there a removal tool ?
I don't think an Online Scanner will be able to remove the virus, it'll only detect.
i have an old desktop with winXP running on it. It got infected by some penDrive, and now if I press any key more than once in succession, it won't work.
e.g, if I press '2', it writes '2' but if I again press '2', nothing happens.
i opened task manager and found a process...
Actually my technician told me that there is some problem with my hard disk, the plotter is making some noise (though very dim). According to him, on hibernation the plotter stops rotating with a great deceleration but on shutting down it stops with proper deceleration.
File a complaint in bsnl office in your area. They'll send a technician to look up the problem. But first of all check your computer for virus or other problems.
And as suggested above try reinstalling the modem drivers from the cd u got wid it if u can else w8 4 da technician.
I recently downloaded MBAM from download.com but as soon as I update it and restart which it asks me to do it fails to start and gives an error somewhat like this : "Unable to load Database 72600.0" Sometimes a different number appears.
What to do ?
formatted and reinstalled a fresh copy of winxpsp2 and reinstalled the modem. still didn't work. called a technician. he installed his modem. everything worked fine. he took my modem. repaired it and returned. now everything fine.
as a matter fact
i installed Damn Small Linux (size 50mb). so windows is only able to see that partition.
and that's FAT32 only as i formatted on windows vista
any more clues what happened ?
though i haven't done the DMC thing. i will try it today...
