now the mechanic says he misunderstood me.. there is only one ide power connector in the new smps too and he cant attach any extension. i very much needed the extra 40gb space by connecting the 2nd ide hdd. is there any solution to this?

hmm... i didnt kno its calld molex connector :D but my smps has only one molex connector.. no 2nd one for the spare hdd.

i have iball lpe223-400 smps. i dont handle any heavy tasks as such. just movies and music. i have 40gb ide hdd and want to expand my memory. but i dont want to spend on a brand new hdd. i have a spare 40gb ide hdd at hand. if i connect it, will my psu be able to handle the load of 2 hdd's...

so nothing if faces downwards?? i thought it should face backwards so that it will be exposed to the outside air..

but what about the fan vent grills?? they will face upwards where my cabinet is fully closed..

will i have to buy new case for this psu?? i have odyssey case with fan grills at the backside. while the vs450 seems like the fan will need the grills on top of the case..

my old smps (odyssey) which cost me 700 bucks is getting too much noisy so i am thinking of buying a new one. i have dual core processor and gigabyte g31 board. budget is around 2 to 2.5 k. also suggest me a decent graphics card for some base level gaming (around 1.5-2k). thnx in adv

thanx mate... worked like charm... :) one more question... when i had xp, i decided to set up dual boot and created a new partition (primary) worth 20 gbs.. now that i have a single os in my c drive, i need to merge that extra partition into my d drive from which i created it. i have easus...

i clean installed win 7 today and removed xp... but m still getting 2 windows 7 options during boot.. one is starting the pc alright and the other is giving some error. what happens is that i have to manually select the working win7 option or wait for 30 sc. how to remove the other one ???
