That lenovo model seems good but you must buy ADP(accidental damage protection, covers physical damage not covered under standard warranty) for at least 1 year & extended standard warranty for also at least 1 year(so total 1+1=2 years standard warranty).

Thank you for the suggestion.. On general usage, will this laptop last me for 5 years? I know its difficult to answer this as it depends upon care / usage etc... but still if you could share your input.

In case it wont, then can you please suggest me another laptop that would. I am ready to increase my budget to the extent that would be required to get a long lasting laptop.
15.6 inch ---- SSD ---- Ryzen 5 OR Intel I5 ---- 1920 x 1080 ----- Min 8GB RAM

Asus K15 with R5 5500U, 8GB RAM (expandable) & 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD is 54k in Flipkart.

Use screensaver & autohide taskbar to elongate panel life. OLED is the best there is but has burn in risk, use precautions as mentioned.

Thank you for all your suggestions. I truly appreciate it. If ASUS laptops are also long lasting, can I consider below. This seems to check all the requirement I have:

Asus MB511WS VivoBook 16X Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H/16 GB/512 GB SSD/AMD Radeon Vega 7 Graphics/Windows 11/MSO/WUXGA), 40.64 cm (16 inch)
50k on Reliance Digital

Also is it safe to buy from Reliance digital?

I don't think any laptop nowadays will last 5 years without needing some service/repair.

Asus has shown quite disappointing customer support till now for a recent case of laptop having most likely a manufacturing defect in the form of physical damage within laptop. If somebody is unfortunate enough to not have ADP bought & approved before the damage was discovered then no option other than fight the case in consumer court. I think Lenovo or Dell might have accepted this type of damage as manufacturing defect after some discussion.

Buy from anywhere but make sure to get ADP(buying & approval after processing) directly from the brand before taking laptop to brand official service centre(see my above post) for any checking/upgrade/cleaning etc.

Among top 5, I rate Acer & Asus as lowest together with Dell, HP & Lenovo at joint first (heard bad support cases from them as well, used Dell & Lenovo myself). MSI is even worse, hence don't recommend them.

Sorry if below question is unnecessary:
If I have to make a choice between these 2 laptops solely based on the expected longevity of the laptop, which one should I choose:

Asus MB511WS VivoBook 16X Laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H/16 GB/512 GB SSD/AMD Radeon Vega 7 Graphics/Windows 11/MSO/WUXGA), 40.64 cm (16 inch) - 50k Reliance Digital Store
OR
lenovo v15 gen 3 - AMD Ryzen™ 5 5625U, 8 GM RAM, 15.6 1920 x 1080 IPS, 256 GB SSD, DOS OS - 43k (Lenovo website)

IMO Vivobook has better build but Lenovo has better after sales, likely cheaper warranty upgrade plans as well. So pick as you please.

Also, did you see the delivery timeline for Lenovo? That is a big con.

Lenovo is getting delivered in 4-5 days...
But as I understand from your suggestion that in build quality both are at par or maybe vivobook is better, I will go with ASUS option..... really thankful for all your suggestions.

Immediately buy Asus ADP & extended warranty(both can be purchased together in a single txn) from asuspromo.in after receiving the laptop & don't take it to asus service centre for anything until your ADP & warranty extension purchase is processed & confirmed(takes around 3 weeks).

Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely do this.
On side note, I am not a fan of laptop. I am a working professional but always work on desktop. I have 3 PC serving me well. Now laptop has become a necessity to cater the need of an upcoming project... that's why purchasing one.
In case my laptop goes to service center just for a week, I will have no choice but to purchase a new laptop immediately to fill that period...... I hope that situation does not arise. Thats why I am looking for a very stable and sturdy laptop with no fancy features...

Unfortunately most service centres will keep laptop with themselves for even a minor thing for at least 2-3 days. If being stable & sturdy is your main criterion then get only Lenovo Thinkpad.

Thanks buddy... I can see your point. Thats why similar config to ASUS vivobook16x in lenovo thinkpad is 72k... almost 24k more.....
Understood. I will rethink and take an informed decision. Thanks for all your suggestion and support.
