Realme has launched Realme 8 5G in India with the new MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, but has degraded the AMOLED display to IPS LCD and only 3 cameras at the back. What's your view on this?

You know what, compromising camera and display for a feature that is non existent is worth decision to make.
You mean worst decision. Well, don't you think the processor is the most important part and a good Mediatek 5G processor could make it up for the losses?

Nope. You will get the same device after a year. Realme slowdown its phones through updates so after a year there will be not much difference. Also, There are better phones with better processor. Again, 5g is just a gimmick right now.

5G network still not a part of India but it is expected in the second quarter of 2021 which is not far. So Dimensity 700 could be a good choice.

Is it expected in the area where you live? Also does it support the bands that realme 8 have?

Maybe he is in love with Mediatek chipsets. Most websites believe that Mediatek would stay as the top chipset provider in 2021.

By top, it implies maximum chips supplied and not top in quality. Best quality design is made by Apple. After that comes Snapdragon chips. Mediatek has topped because all phones below 10K have mediatek chips.

Apple still beats Snapdragon in chips.

Snapdragon doesn't slowdown with time. And most phones with snapdragon chips have a good Dev support.

Added the fact that mediatek is famous for doing some bad stuff, in order to fake benchmarks.

This is a myth for sure. Snapdragon, Exynos, Mediatek or Kirin, they all slow down with time. And Apple makes the smartphones slow by offering updates when a new device is launched. So nobody is a saint here.

no, this is not a myth. Mediatek devices have a degradation problem, mostly due to higher fab size. Apple does slow down device, but they dont slow down it the way realme does. I have seen people using iPhone 6 till date on ios 14 with no problems. have you ever seen any android phone from 2015 still performing like that? Added, apple processors have always been better than snapdragon. Look for the bench or tests yourself.

If you believe the benchmark scores, then you need to believe that all the brands play fair. Why accuse any brand like Snapdragon of cheating in the benchmark scores?

man snapdragon didnt cheat, i am accusing mediatek. Secondly, benchmarks are different, with snapdragon to reach above 1000 for the first time now with its sd 865+ chip, meanwhile apple. Had done it 2 years before them. Apple uses better , efficient processor. Whether you believe it or not, depends on you.

if u need real life idea, play any gfx intensive game on iphone and on an 5G Mediatek dimensity 800 bla bla thing.

Here see this how mtk cheats.
I would not favor anyone here but what you are talking about is something that Snapdragon is doing since 2013. Here is the proof. They're (Almost) All Dirty: The State of Cheating in Android Benchmarks
And there are more such links everywhere which show Snapdragon too cheats people.
And here is something about the flaws in Qualcomm chipsets: Flaw in Qualcomm modems enables backdoor for hackers to record your phone calls
Do not be a blind follower like this. They all are fooling people and still people would favor them. Funny, right?
man snapdragon didnt cheat, i am accusing mediatek.
