1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
20000/-

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
  • Netbook; 11" - 10” screen or less
  • Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
  • Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
  • Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen
As big as possible screen in that budget

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Browsing, YT, Music, Photoshop editing for noobs

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
It should be able to run Windows 10 smoothly+ programs like Office, Photoshop(light usage will be there) etc. The buyer's budget is very tight so he's planning to use "that" Windows version till he gets the money to purchase a license.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like:
b. Dislike: Harassement-Packard

6) Anything else you would like to say?
  • Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) ) The highest in that budget
  • Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) ) The highest in that budget
  • Purchase place ( Online (eg - flipkart, infibeam) / Local / Abroad (do mention the country) ) Whatever place give him good discount + allows him to enter gst number on the invoice
  • If the buyer can get a laptop with a separate numpad in that budget then great.
Thanks

Any laptop with CPU inferior to i3 6th gen isn't worth getting IMO. Even that i3 is 3 years old or so. So wait for sales & increase your budget to 23-25k.

Currently, the cheapest i3 6th laptop w/o OS costs 23k, it might be cheaper by 1k or at max 2k during sale (there should be one near Christmas):

Instead of spending 6k on the license, buy a laptop with OS pre-installed, costs like 2-3k over similar spec'd laptop.

Avoid AMD E2/A4/A6 powered laptops. Usually, they are weaker than Snapdragon 636 found in 10-15k smartphones.

Keep aside 1800 for 120gb ssd, without that forget about "running win 10+office smoothly"(unless you do some serious tweaking of system settings & even then it will run as "usual" & not "smooth").

paytmmall has some good sale offers on cheaper laptops, you can see that(I recommend buying from "brand authorized sellers" only though).

Thanks Man. How is the gpu in this laptop in terms of performance? Need to find it in some offline store as fk does not provide gst bill.
P.s. the only major con as per the reviews is the screen.

Thanks. Will be hard to find the same models here, let's see. Is there some other option minus the preinstalled windows to save some bucks?
