Only options in your budget:

Buy Acer Aspire 5 (NX.GT1SI.001) Core i5-8250U, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 Online at Low Prices in India - Paytmmall.com

Buy Acer Aspire A515-51G Ultrabook (Core i5 (8th Gen)/4GB RAM/1TB HDD/39.63 cm (15.6)/Dos/2GB mx150 DDR5 Graphics) (Steel Grey) Online at Low Prices in India - Paytmmall.com

But those are from Acer so I won't recommend any unless you trust them.

MX150 is the best GPU for that price, that being said, it isn't very futureproof, so just get it as you are into gaming.

During sales, you can get GTX 1050 powered laptops for 50k. Those are great for gaming & much more powerful but considering your usage is light gaming, MX150 will do the job.

I haven't played any game for a long time so i am fine with low end gpu though i get a temptation to go for those 1050 laptops lol.
Those models surely look good if I add an 8GB Ram those will be best fit for me though the comment about quality is worrying me as I bought Dell and paid more than 50k to buy additional warranty just to make sure i don't have to worry much if something happens so i am worried about quality. Any thought about Ryzen build?

Before buying Dell, do check if it has a HDMI port.
I remember a few Dell laptops not having it 3 years back.

Resolution - 1366x768 Do you think its fine to ignore 1080p in 2018 also not sure about the battery life. Does it have another slot for Ram if so can i use existing 4gb + 8gb so total of 12gb ram? and can i use SSD if so which model to consider (ofc not going to add SSD right now but for future)

1080p in 15" screen is not worth it in my opinion though many others like it too so it comes down to your preference(see one to get an idea). It will surely be a battery drainer & a drag on any gfx card below 1050.There should be no issue in adding ram but still make sure it supports total max capacity you are looking for & 12gb ram is overkill,8gb ram is more than enough in a typical usage laptop. For ssd only option to consider is samsung evo 860 250gb(available for ~5.7k at onlyssd.com the ssd selling division of primeabgb) unless you have a budget much more or much less than this.

One important point to note is that not all upgrades are supported by warranty & differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.e.g.acer has the most strict policy regarding upgrading & even adding/upgrading ram will void warranty unless done by their service centre. Most other manufacturers though allow upgrading of hdd to ssd & ram upgrade but still to be sure confirm it from their CC/dealer & if possible get it done at their authorized service centre only.

1366x768 looks crap on 15.6" screen. Max for that resolution should be 14" screen.
The pixels are especially noticeable if you watch a lot of video on that screen.

Majority of laptops still are 720p,I don't know what type of videos you are watching but it does not look crap if you use good quality videos & use madvr renderer. It may not look as good as 1080p but it certainly isn't as bad as crap.

Yup that's the point it's doesn't look crap it'll be fine for day to day tasks u won't get and that's why I suggested that laptop though it has720p screen otherwise specs are amazing compared other laptops in this price segment..

Seriously the difference between a 768p & 1080p panel is big for a 15.6" laptop. After using 1080p displays, I can easily spot a 768p display without checking its resolution. The hit on battery life is not big, but the improvement in what you see in the display is a lot. All the texts are crisper & looks better without boxes (pixels). The difference between 720p & 1080p videos aren't that noticeable but for websites & everything else, it is a noticeable difference.

Hit in battery life is big if moving from 1080p to 4K.

As said above, even cheap phones (10k) have a 1080p display. Companies just launch 768p displays in India a lot. In US, you get 1080p displays in laptops starting at $350 (i3 ones) & almost all laptops above $500 with i5 have a 1080p panel.

But for OP'S budget under 40k I think this the best just check screen quality in offline stores and has to confirm about the extra ram slot..

But in India chances of getting a good processor+gfx card with a 1080p screen are much less & if one has to compromise then better compromise on screen as a gamer would first like game to run instead of fussing about 720p vs 1080p & one can always connect a bigger & better external display to laptop at home.

Yes in mx150 latest AAA titles won't run in 1080p resolution anyway so buyer can compromise on screen.... Nd Buy best gpu nd cpu for the available price

Budget is not an issue here, Just want to make sure that the money spent is on the component i need. As for video playback I watch 480p youtube most of the times, actually they play in background while I am working (don't watch movies on laptop... can always use my desktop or TV for that purpose). Games - Yes I play them occasionally so if they work on medium settings its fine but the point about resolution is important as this laptop will be used for job purpose where i have to visit lots of sites and read the text to find information and will be used like 7~8 hours daily.
Good screen -Yes
Ram - 8GB for sure as chrome is ram hungry and i don't want to get stuck after opening 30 tabs
Battery - more the merrier for obvious reason but its not a deal breaker
Heating issue can be a deal breaker as i don't want to be tortured for 8 hours daily lol
backlit keyboard as many times i need to work during night
GPU - I can compromise and play game on desktop

Note: the primary use of this laptop is for a job, the gaming part is additional when I am free

I don't think you will get backlit keyboard at less than 60k bugdet in established brands (HP/Lenovo/Dell)

Lenovo Legion Core i5 7th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/128 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics) LN Y520-15IKBN Gaming Laptop
Lenovo Legion Core i5 7th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/128 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics) LN Y520-15IKBN Gaming Laptop Rs.75990 Price in India - Buy Lenovo Legion Core i5 7th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/128 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics) LN Y520-15IKBN Gaming Laptop Black Online - Lenovo : Flipkart.com

Flipkart seems to be having very old models. Cannot find the new products. There is a 360 degree rotating model like the HP x360. And it has almost everything that you need. But unable to find it!

This is better for that price:
Asus TUF Core i5 8th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/128 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics) FX504GE-E4366T Gaming Laptop Rs.74990 Price in India - Buy Asus TUF Core i5 8th Gen - (8 GB/1 TB HDD/128 GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/4 GB Graphics) FX504GE-E4366T Gaming Laptop Black Metal Online - Asus : Flipkart.com

But it costs almost twice the money OP initially wanted to spend.

There was an Acer laptop with i5 8th gen, MX150 & 1080p display a few months ago for 45k. I can't find it now.

You can wait for sales in gaming laptops & buy Dell 5577 with i5 7300HQ & GTX 1050 for about 50-55k. It has a good battery life for a gaming laptop, 5-6 hours on normal usage. It doesn't look flashy too, so good for you.
