can a 9600GT, paired with an E8400 give better FPS in Crysis than an 8800GT, paired with an X2 6400+?? (all in stock speeds)
i'm asking this altho it's true that in a game, the graphics card matters much more than the CPU...
u should try attachin another monitor to ur pc and see if it makes the same prob...or rather try borrowing a PCI-E graphics card from anyone and plug it in ur mobo and verify
(i think ur monitor is gone anyway)
8800GS will be much higher than ur budget...get a factory overclocked 8600GT (with 256MB DDR3 memory...not 512 DDR2)...higher cards wont be able to perform at full strength bcoz of ur procy and mobo
as bad sector is a physical problem of HDD...so softwares (like chkdsk with recover bad sector command) can only make the HDD temporarily usable by putting those damaged sectors aside...so ur HDD can arise problem again anytime...try low level formatting once when u'll format...if it still...
