I've tried all of the things mentioned..iPods, Walkman & iRiver.. I don't find iPod to be superior to iRiver...iRiver is much better than iPod. In terms of clarity of sound. As said by someone, it depends on the person.... My rating would be: 1 - Walkman & iRiver 2 - iPod
