I have asked Hitachi thru online query on their website but despite 3 days, there's no response yet.

Oh great thanks. I was searching www.hitachi.co.in and hence did not find any info related to HDDs!

Just for the information of forum users, I called both places Mumbai as well as Pune centers and got to know that since last 2 months HCL has discontinued its tie up with HGST for HDD servicing requirements.

Now-a-days it is pointless to buy any hdd other than WD or Seagate if after sales support in India is your concern.
