Well in that case the data redundancy in the file was minimum, hence no compression.

It all depends on the Data redundancy, first take a picture of a white sheet of paper, compress it, then take a pic of say a designer Saree with lots of colors and patterns, compress it, you'll be surprised.

So my stand is, use 7zip, if it can't be compressed by 7zip, it can't be compressed.
