AMD's Bristol-Ridge series of APUs will be having a retail release, filling in a market segment below Ryzen 3 and offering price points that are all below £100. Caseking currently says that these CPUs/APUs will be available on August 18th.

These APUs will be the first to be released on the AM4 platform, outside of the OEM space. These CPUs will be based on AMD's older Excavator CPU architecture and GCN GPU architecture, which means that the performance of these parts will not be revolutionary.

Even so, these CPUs will offer their users attractive price points, with the most expensive model costing less than £95. This will make these CPUs decent solutions for affordable low-performance systems that offer graphical horsepower that is much greater than Intel's current low-cost offerings.

Being based on Excavator, these CPUs are not expected to offer revolutionary performance levels, though they will certainly offer a lot of value for money when building basic office or web browsing machines. It will be interesting to see how these APUs will perform in modern games, though it certainly will not be able to compete with any modern CPU + Dedicated GPU setup.

Ryzen APU's on desktops are expected to launch probably by February 2018 at the earliest .. not in 2017 in anycase..
Ryzen APU's will only come to Laptops this year probably by october

So, it will be fusion of Ryzen and Vega?

So is it better to wait till Ryzen APU release or build a Ryzen build with a decent level graphics card ?
Bcz even in Intel HD Graphics, we can't get a good graphics performance which ends up pairing up with a good GPU separately. (If we want to play games at good frame rates and better graphics)
If it's gonna be the same case with Ryzen APU's, there's no point in waiting for Ryzen APU's. We could just build a gaming rig with Ryzen CPU + good GPU.

For gaming alone, plain Ryzen+dGPU is the right choice. But the graphics of an APU will give you a backup in times of graphics card failure.

Yeah that's just in case situation. But the chances of graphics card failure is low, that too with 5 years warranty for GPU's nowadays, we won't have to worry about that.
I'm just asking if we are going to spend a lot on GPU however, then why do we need to spend on an APU again?

If Ryzen CPU and APU prices are within few thousand differences, then it doesn't matter getting an APU instead of CPU. But if APU costs a fortune than CPU, it's not an ideal spend.
Anyway we'll know that only after the Ryzen APU's hit the retailers and that's not anytime soon.

no , don't wait for that ..Ryzen APU's are supposed to fill the gap from Rs 4,000-10,000 and are meant to be used for casual gaming/ home systems on a budget .. A discrete GPU above 5k , will be much better than these APU's .. maybe the high end APU could come close to Rx 550/GT 1030 performance...
