i turn off my computer and turn it on using bios settings at 2 am and use task scheduler to start applications. if such a feature is not available in ur bios u can use auto power-on (shareware)

Your signature shows that You are using Asus P5LD2VM SE motherboard.
This model and all newer motherboards support standby and hibernate modes.
