of course the drive is NTFS n i'm under the admin group too
what i tried wz bootin into safe mode n into the main administrator account n then i did get the security tab n i added everyone with full control on the whole drive but when i restarted and logged into my account the security tab...

i got two hds, strangely on the 2nd hd, now whenever i move folders or files to some location, the files or folders become inaccessible, i see them but can't access them, shows Access is Denied.
i ran chkdsk n partition magics error checker, no use
does someone know whyz this happenin...
i got a 98 box which cannot detect the cdrom drive though it's seen in the bios. the mscdex.exe is running.
what could be the problem. adding the cdrom driver line to the config.sys did not help

Jus found out guyz, the drive needs to be set to turbo mode by pressing down the eject button for 5 secs, but the sucker goes back to 40X afterwards.

i got the Sony CRX320E CD-RW/DVD-ROM (Combo), 52x (CD), 16x (DVD) Read, 52x (CD) Write, 24x (CD-RW) ReWrite.
the thing is, nero doesn't show up anything over 40X for burning thought the media is 52X.
what could be the prob.

i'm getting the Athlon XP 2600+ barton core.
now my dealer is recommending me Gigabyte's GA-7N400V-L with very good on board features but it's not on AMD's recommended list(maybe cause it's new... i don't know why)

linux has taken off and will stay here. it's now not limited to geeks only
it's true about being involved with your os but if u really wanna learn the inside stuff, go for linux and stay with the terminal(use command lines not graphical interface)
i love MMJB and lately i've taken a liking to Winamp 5 rc8.
for video stuff BSPlayer is the best cause it's light.
also i installed the lake plugin but everytime i click on the 'View' menu on MMJB, it crashes. i re-downloaded n re-installed but nothing. ne help???
