    Xenforo Feedback Thread

Easier said than done. Tech stuff is not as straightforward as people think it is. Things don't always work the way they are supposed to. A minor connectivity issue can cause database connection to go down for hours. Worse still, many times it takes hours just to figure out what's wrong when...

Latest memory technologies with lots of space and durability

I was trying to explain the market factors which have led to the loss in popularity of optical media. I don't know what you intend to gain by disagreeing with me as if I'm the one preventing these technologies from coming into the market. If you don't agree with me, then you can work out your...

Latest memory technologies with lots of space and durability

Capacity is not the primary reason for popularity of USB devices, it's convenience. Most devices have a USB port, including TVs. It's very small and easy to integrate, something as small as an Intel NUC has 4-5 USB ports. Devices these days have shrunk to a size where incorporating an optical...

Latest memory technologies with lots of space and durability

For every technology that you see getting launched and gaining a market, there are dozens which never see the light of day. Optical storage as a whole kinda died when internet and pen drives became affordable. The only reason blu-rays still exist is because the entertainment industry refuses to...

    NAS buying advice

There has to be some kind of indication as to your budget, otherwise it's very difficult to recommend. Here are the questions you need to ask/answer: Will your NAS be used by just you or multiple people? If multiple, how important is it to isolate their files? Will you use it over local...

How to tackle bad roads in India?

Even Activa has 10" rear tyres and they do pretty well. Basically bigger the tyres, lesser will be the impact of potholes. However, bigger wheels also mean less space in front. When I had a TVS Jupiter, I could easily buy a good amount of groceries, put it on the front and carry it home. That...

what is the tyre pressure you're using? This is one oft neglected aspect by two-wheeler riders. The right tyre pressure can make your ride more comfortable and will also reduce wear and tear on the bike. Check this for the ideal pressure: Tyre Pressure for TVS Wego (24-32psi), Tyre Air Pressure...

    Please critique this HTPC configuration

Might not be the best advice here, but I was just watching a 4k HDR10 movie with 5.1 DTS Surround sound on my Raspberry Pi running LibreELEC streaming from my Synology NAS. To be fair, the audio is set to pass through and is decoded by my AVR, but video is decoded on Pi and I did not experience...

Always ask for recommendations along with a budget. Otherwise I might recommend anything from Boat Avante Bar to Dali Kubik One.

Which RAM would be ideal for my laptop?

Look for disassembly videos on YouTube, they'll show what RAM is there inside the laptop. Also, expanding the Slot 1 part in Speccy will give you more information about the module in there. IMO, if the laptop is general purpose, and not something intensive like video editing, getting a RAM...

    *Best SoundBar UNDER 20 k*

Polk Signa S2 has HDMI ARC support. If your TV supports the same, you can connect the Fire Stick to the TV and then connect the speaker using the ARC port. I don't think any soundbar comes with separate HDMI input, at least in this price range. Yamaha Yas-209 is the cheapest I can find with...

1700BT and R1850DB are actually pretty much the same speakers, difference being that 1850 comes with inbuilt DAC and hence supports digital inputs. So sound quality is not likely to be very different.

    [Guide] Laptop SSDs.

Would not recommend an adapter. The price difference would definitely be smaller than the cost of the adapter. As for speed, SATA 3.0 is 6 gbps spec. There's no way to exceed that. Realistically, 600 MBps is the max you can get with the best of SSDs. In practice, most SSDs cap out at 550 MBps.

Need solution to connect 5.1 speaker to Android TV

The cable you've linked is correct. That cable goes from your TV to one of the optical inputs on the adapter. The other side of the adapter has 6 RCA outs. But your speaker has 3.5 mm inputs. So you need 3 sets of RCA Male to 3.5 mm male cables, looks like these: Now just match the front/rear...
