Dear Friends,
I am in the process of a slow and deliberate build and and currently collecting components. Final build will be around Mid October/ Nov. Purpose is photoshop and movie edits and academic work. Little to no gaming.
Type: micro ATX
Overclocking: No

What I already have:
1. Jonsbo RM3 Case with both side temperd glass and three 120 mm fans one each at bottom, top and back.
2. LG 27inch 4K IPS color caliberated monitor with gSync
3. Logitech G602 Wireless mouse
4. TVSE gold keyboard
5. Samsung 750 EVO SSD 256 GB

What I need and options considered
1. PSU : must be a reliable 550w . Was looking at seasonic or corsair models. Long warranty Good quality caps. Must be semi modular or fully modular.
2. CPU: i had in mind Ryzen 1700 but waiting for 8th Gen Intel since that will mean no expense in GPU. But pricing is a factor as total CPU or if required CPU+GPU, budget not to exceed 30k.
3. mATX motherboard appropriate to the CPU. Around 8-10k.
4. 16 GB RAM to be decided after CPU finalized. 10k. Preferably 3200 DDR4.
5. HDD: 5-6 TB. May come later. I already have an external 5TB housing all my data and a backup in my office desktop.

Item 1 is what I am looking for right now. Suggestions and recommendations on reliable places to get them in Delhi are welcome. Most i am looking for is quality and reliability and power efficiency.

Appreciate your help
Thanks
V

if you have the budget go for Corsair RMx .. 10 years warranty ..

Corsair RM650x PSU Review
Thanks GTA. Looks good and at 10 years, it may outlast other components.
The 650 watt is cheaper on amazon compared to the 550w but my total power requirement after all future possible expansion including a 1060 equivalent graphics would be 475 watts. Should i go for 550 or 650? Any pointers about good dealers in Delhi are also appreciated.

on vedantcomputers .. 550X is Rs 9000 and 650X is Rs 9200 .. only 200 rs difference , go for 650 watt version

but hold on a bit about warranty before it is cleared up completely .. a retailer is saying something else to ezio16 .. check this thread

Suggestions for a Mid Tower Gaming Case and a 650W PSU

Thanks. That is a bummer. I plan to write to corsair support and make an inquiry with them directly

Waiting anxiously... MSI has announced 12 motherboards including mATX and ITX. SMC said that if they can get their hands on sone processors, they should have the first shipment around 20 oct.

Corsair does not have high user ratings on NewEgg. Also it has sleeve bearing. Apparently FDB bearings are better. I have started looking towards
Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series which have tje fluid dynamic bearings, are fully modular and 10 yr warranty in USA.
Now to see availability, pricing etc in India.

Thanks. Glowing review i must say. But it does not seem to be in stock anywhere in India. Shot a mail to Tirupati Enterprises but haven't heard back from them as yet.

The Motherboard came from Japan. Costed 14500. This week its been made available at Mdcomputers as well for 15500. So saved 1000 bucks there.

Bought 32GB of GSkill Trident 3200MHz 16*2 DDR4 RAM. Black Friday deal for 300 USD. Its not RGB but will do. Especially since its costing me on 20k against the 32k usual pricing.

Also bought 8TB 7200 rpm Toshiba High Reliability NAS HDD for 260 USD. Thats also a sweet deal since we get a 6TB for that price in India.

RAM and HDD are expected to arrive in Dec 3rd week
