Graphic card overheating

I have a ancient GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 with an Intel Core i7-7700K. It kinda overheats at certain games like: FarCry 4, Battlefield 4, Counter Strike Source (it's better), Call Of Duty Black Ops 3. Can you guys tell me why? And it reaches 70 C to 80 C (rarely at 80 C)

Check for dust inside the cabinet. You should try cleaning the dust inside. Use a soft dry cloth and gently wipe away the dust. There's a good chance the GPU fan is heavily clogged so you may require to remove the GPU to clean it properly.

Also, make sure you have the latest stable AMD drivers installed.

It's okay for GPUs to reach 70 C'+ temperatures when on very heavy load.
Besides, it's an old generation AMD GPU, so totally makes sense.

I found that my Radeon's thermal is slowly disappearing. Should I apply more? Or should I use my Old GPU which is only at 50 Degrees (GEFORCE 210:blah:)

Remove the old TIM and put new layer of some quality TIM.

Your cpus integrated video is better than GT210 :D
