There is another thread in this forum under same topic but with Not-so-happy ending
Looking for a 14 - 18k android phone
:fencing:

I too would suggest Moto G5 plus as it has the best camera for that price point & the fact that you aren't into gaming. It has a dedicated SD card slot, so storage isn't a issue.

Mi Max 2 has 6.44" size screen, which might be too big & heavy. Do check those things before considering it.

You can wait till tomorrow for the announcement of Lenovo K8 Note & see if its worth considering.

You can get Samsung J7 Max for a 5.7 inch screen. It costs around 15,990 or something. It also has a f1.7 camera that will ensure that your scan pics remain sharp even under slightly lower light.

For good screen in cheap, you can get Lenovo Phab 2, with a 6.44 inch screen. Rs. 10,000 or so.

Or, you can get Mi Max 2 for a decent offering in terms of speed, camera, music, etc...

For presentations, you can opt for a cheap projector, there's one coming from Portronics Beem 100, which costs around Rs. 9999. But its ok if you have a big screen phone.

A f/1.7 lens doesn't ensure good low light photography if sensor isn't good. G5 Plus should easily outperform it in terms of camera.

I have an inclination towards Mi max 2 due to its larger screen, which I think, will helps for better reading.(a mass market thought) Size and weight is not an issue as i am buying this phone for my better half who is going to carry it in her hand bag or coat pocket anyway.
Going by your suggestions ,Mi Max 2 camera is inferior to moto g5.
I am going to compromise it for larger screen .
Is there any other negatives(Relative to MotoG5) of Mi Max 2 i have to consider ?

MIUI is awful in my opinion and you don't get android updates in time. I won't compromise on the camera for excessively larger screen.

I am using LG Q6, ordered it on launch day itself and received yesterday. Its second best looking phone in the range upto 20k. (I think iphone SE stills takes that spot for no.1). Atleast we get something new in terms of design. the screen is beautiful, and phone feels wonderful to hold in hand. there is also one time free screen replacement offer by LG going on for this phone.
Its a little slower than moto G5 plus in terms of performance, but for normal usage you wont notice a difference. Go for it if u want best camera in 15k range with a beautiful design.

But it lacks a fingerprint sensor. How could LG forget that in 2017?
