Just found out that Nokia Drive is exclusive to Nokia handsets ! That is amazing , makes my purchase even more worth it as i loved it on my Symbian phone.

But they can't 'port' the excellent hardware quality and the looks of the handset ;) And what about the amazing CBD AMOLED display ?

I should hopefully get mine soon, i went back to the store to try it again... mind blown by the amazing integration between social networks and services !

Congrats. Also mentions for what price and where did you get it pre-ordered from.

:)

It is pretty nice but it still doesn't beat the quality of Nokia Phones. I'm saying this from personal experience but thats just me :)

Can you quote some example or anything.
Coz I don't agree with you on this as I own HTC phones from last >2.5yrs and the one I m currently using is Incredible S which has fallen from my hands a couple of tines and the same happened with my previous HTC windows phone but I didn't experienced any problem where as my friend own an N97 and he has got it replaced a 4-5 times and almost every friend of mine who owns a nokia phone has got some problem in their phone(specially when their phones falls 2-3times) but I haven't, even my bro own an HTC phone and he hasn't got any problem.

My own HTC phones broke down too easily. Anyway, we are going OT. The HW quality and looks of the Lumia 800 are unbeatable. And the new OS (Windows Phone) is much smoother than any Android i have used till now !

Lumia undoubtedly has the best looks than any of the windows phone and most of the android phones...also i like the smoothness of Win 7 UI...wished android could have a smoother UI:neutral:

I guess you should have got the Samsung focus first for under 12k and then decide if it was wise to spend close to 30k on a immature operating system
Very soon tango will come with dual core support and your phone will become outdated prematurely

Had the chance to try the Lumia 800 in a Nokia show, the screen is just superb....and the phone looks sexy....I think it is a good deal, but have to check the Lumia 710 as well.

I have been using the Nokia Lumia 800 for quite some time now, just can't stop myself from basking in the glory of it!

The OS is ridiculously buttery smooth. I have yet to face any lags even with drive, music and IM+ running. While they may not be the 'heaviest' of apps. Seemingly it's is able to drive it for a clear six though.

The build quality is as good as it gets. The sleek polycarbonate unibody design is one of it's kind in the whole of the WP kingdom. The premium build quality can only be missed if you are legally blind. The glass is absolutely scratch less. No matter how many times you pull it out of your pocket, one wipe makes it squeaky clean.

I think it's time for a full fledged user review.

agreed, the phone feels really solid in hand...the curved glass just gives it a different feel (in a good way)

Dunno why some people crib that you get better hardware for the price, but when you use this, yo realize that you really don't need more..its all so fluid..

Btw, i did manage to crash the browser on my 710 a couple of times, but thats rare..very rare..

I agree. When the software is so well optimized you don't really need dual / quad core processors.
